HOW DOES RAVI WORK?
RAVI calms through stimulating your sensory system. You interact with the world by sensing your environment – Sight, Sound, Smell, Taste & Touch. Placing weight on the body triggers the parasympathetic nervous system which in turn stimulates a calm internal environment.
Ravi affects your Sensory receptor systems
sense receptors in joints, tendons, muscles – provide information on body position, movement and stretch.
sense receptors in inner ear – movement of fluid in the ears determine body position in space.
sense receptors in the skin – gives us information about physical properties of an item, texture, shape temperature. Also gives us awareness of how light or heavy an object is.
Ravi is a hug in a blanket. Similar to swaddling a baby, a RaviHug makes you feel warm and cared for.
CALM NERVOUS SYSTEM
Calms Nervous System & Reduce Stress
Layer on extra warmth by allowing RAVI to weight down your blanket.

THERAPY — AYURVEDA
Ravi influences the VATA Dosha
Ayurveda is an ancient system of medicine based on balancing the unique aspects of individuals. Each person is its own combination of the 3 Doshas:
• Vata (Air+Ether) Dry, Light, Cold Rough, Mobile
• Pitta (Fire+Water) Hot, Sharp, Bright, Oily
• Kapha (Water+Earth) Heavy, Slow, Dense, So , Stable, Cloudy
The Ravi weight influences the VATA dosha (Air+Ether) by redirecting energy down.
When Vata is in balance there is coordination in body and mind. Balanced Vata allows us to direct our thoughts, feelings, and actions with ease. Creativity thrives and the individual is energized.
Ravi nourishes the Earth element
The elements: are believed to be the fundamental elements of all things.
Metal, Water, Wood, Fire and Earth
Someone with healthy Earth Qi (energy) is a well-grounded, nurturing and compassionate person. When Earth is in balance there is strong community, healthy mediations, peace and reliability.
